you're correct nathan lol it came out in 2010 ended 2012 but still. ARR was built from 1.0 so they still had to go with the API that was already in place. heavensward was build with dx11 in mind before dx12 and windows 10 was even mentioned buy FFXIV Gil. DX12 probably will be widespreadly used when XBOX Two is released because XBOX One didn't natively built around DX12.
Yeah, you're right I should say engineer not dev. I want to get in my lala socks and slide across that mother fucking floor. crying that they should be using dx12. when most of the player base on pc still use windows 7 which is only capable of cheap FFXIV Gil dx11. yea let's waste time implementing an api that most of our pc player base will not be using.
